I am 30 years old, currently using topical finasteride for 4 months. I also have a retrograde alopecia. Am I suitable for a ht procedure and get permanent results for the transplanted grafts?

Retrograde alopecia is a subtype of male pattern hair loss that affects the lower portion of the neck called the nape and the sides of the scalp above the ears.Patients with retrograde alopecia are generally not good surgical candidates because the thinning might affect their donor region in varying degrees. Nevertheless, with the right treatment and careful planning, they are also capable of having successful hair transplantation. Finasteride is a good start, although its topical form might not be as effective. Your hairs look thin. Finasteride use is effective for thickening of hair shafts but oral route more effective. First of all you should use finasteride at least 1 year and then make a decision. Thin grafts covering effect is very low so your hairs look sparse if you make a hair transplantation now.
