Answer: No matter how many photos you want to post for viewing it really has no value without a proper exam. Answer: Thinning Hair -- Rogaine, Propecia, Viviscal, Progesterone, PRP If you have thinning hair you really need an evaluation to see if it is genetic or from another cause like stress or autoimmune. If it is determined to be genetic there are many options and traditional treatments like rogaine foam and propecia pills can be used. I have great success in my practice using injectable progesterone and prp to the scalp. I suggest seeing a dermatologist with expertise in hair loss. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Hair loss with associated features I'd strongly advise that you see a dermatologist with specialty interest in hair loss. Despite the complicated history, the "most likely" diagnosis remains genetic hair loss on account of strong occipital hair density and vertex patterned loss. Of course, other possible diagnoses may be present and these will be uncovered with a more detailed history by your physician, a careful examination of your scalp and possibly blood tests and a biopsy.

Answer: Complicated Medical history You have a very complicated medical history and I would love to know more. It is very likely you are experiencing some form of global hair loss associated with changes in your endocrine system. I would recommend a full laboratory work up including thyroid levels, DHT, estrogen and testosterone levels, blood counts and iron levels (which it seems you have had) and also inflammatory and autoimmune markers such as CRP and ANA. Unfortunately without a lot more information, I can't offer more help.
