Can topical tretinoin cause hair loss?

I've been using it for about three years and in that same time have had significant hair loss. I am 60 years old.

Madarosis is the absence of eyelashes and hypotrichosis is abnormal hair patterns. So they are not the same condition.

It would be rare to see massive shedding if you only used minoxidil for 2 weeks. If you are concerned you should see a doctor for a proper exam.

You need to follow up with your doctor if you believe you are having a side effect.  It seems you have multiple issues such as scalp psoriasis.

If you had a bald spot for over 6 years, it probably will remain bald for life.  You can try Rogaine as you don't need a doctor's prescription to try it.  However it is unlikely it will give you a significant change.
