I've always been super insecure about my eyes.In relation to the rest of my face they have little shape and appear very roundish.I eventually want a lateral canthoplasty in hope to balance out my face but it seems it's more of a Korean procedure. I've come across a few US surgeons but most of the patients are quite a bit older and there's never a lot of B&A examples.Im only 19 but I've been wanting this surgery for awhile and I'm feeling hopeless.How successful are the procedures usually?

Your eyes look fine.  You do have some eye prominence.  However, the effect that you are showing would be profoundly bizarre.  I can tell you that because I have folks who show up in my office after having had lateral canthoplasty for this purpose in South Korea.  The surgery does not deliver what is promised.  It attempts to make the eye bigger by cutting the lateral canthal angle and then advancing conjunctival mucosal over these raw services.  The cases I have seen have profounding disfigured these people.  Even when you look at the websites for Korean practice that purport to do this service, the result even in the best of  circumstances as shown on these sites is minimal and they are not showing you their complications.  If you see surgeons in the United States, they do not understand the Korean surgery.  Their idea of a canthoplasty (or pexy) is a lower eyelid tightening procedure that removes tissue from the lower eyelid.  It is incapable of achieving the result you are looking for. Either way, neither procedure is going to accomplish what you are looking for and the risk of an emotionally destabilizing permanent and unrepairable complication is profoundly high.  The fact that your beautiful eyes leave you "feeling hopeless," means there may be something psychologically at issue.  If you are avoiding social situations because of concerns about this issue, spend hours a day thinking about and researching this issue, it suggests that you might be suffering from body dysmorphic disorder (BDD).  It is important to understand that individuals with BDD often miscommunicate with their surgeons and these leads to crippling cycles of unsatisfactory surgery and revision.  If this sounds like you, please get appropriate attention from a psychiatrist to help you will what is really a thought disorder.
