3 years Breast Augmentation postop - Is areola repositioning possible and safe? (photos)

Question

I had a breast augmentation 3 years ago. Although a nice result the one breast is higher than the other and also the areola is slightly bigger and lower than the other. This was existed previously but me as well as the surgeon did not notice. Is areola repositioning possible? How safe is this in terms of scarring and areola and nibble sensation.

I encourage you to begin by visiting with your surgeon for an evaluation.  Nipple position correction is an option with a small risk of permanent change in nipple sensation.  It appears further intervention would be beneficial to address asymmetry and shape differences.

The lower can be lifted with a scar around the areola. This could be done in the office under local anesthesia. There is a small risk of loosing some sensation to the nipple area.

Thanks for excellent posed photos, it really helps me help you. Besides mal positioned pre surgery areolae you also have different shaped and differing volumes of implants, as seen in posted photos. Options are: 1. correct alignment of areolae with either redo donut lift on lower side or L-shaped lift; 2. Exchange saller side to larger implant with correction of areola position;  3. add capsulotomy to #2.
