Thank you for your question. Yes, it's possible to do liposuction and BBL. Many patients struggle to achieve their optimal weight despite diet and exercise. However, to reduce your risks during surgery and ensure optimal results it's important to maintain a healthy, well-balanced diet to prepare for surgery. The closer you are to your ideal weight before surgery the better your result will be. A regular exercise routine is also helpful preparation. By building muscle, you increase your basal metabolic rate. This makes it easier to avoid weight gain, especially in the postoperative period when physical activity is minimal. Cardiovascular exercise strengthens the heart and promotes a faster recovery from surgery. If you have a regular exercise routine, it is much easier to resume these activities after recovering from surgery. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Best is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
Losing a bit of weight can reduce the risk for complications with surgery, but BMI is just one measure of your fitness for surgery. If your weight is stable and you are healthy, you may be a great candidate. Usually a 5 liter liposuction and a large volume transfer to the buttocks can produce a very dramatic transformation.Find a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of Brazilian buttlifts and liposuction procedures each year. Based on your BMI you are classified as obese, this is only a number however is an indication of your fitness, plastic surgery is an elective procedure, there is no question that a patient with a BMI higher than 30 has an increased incidence of complications, also the cosmetic result will be less than ideal in an obese patient.Plastic surgery is not weight loss surgery, ideally the patient has to be close to their ideal weight goal and the patient has to understand the limitations of the procedure, a reputable surgeon will tell you that the chances of complications is higher when the BMI is higher than 30, (in a normal patient like your self) BMI is not reliable in body builders or patient with a high muscle composition.
Thank you for the question. BMI should be less than 30 prior to elective surgery for health and safety reasons.
I have treated patients of your size, but the risks are slightly higher. Also, abdominal girth may not be diminished as much as you like since you likely have visceral fat which only improves with weight loss.
Hi, thanks for sharing your concern and photos with us!First I want to congratulate you for making this important decision. Deciding to get an aesthetic procedure to change your body and get a new life style is a big step! Looking at your photos I might say that you´ll be a great candidate to get an entire back, waist and flanks liposuction, with BBL, and tummy tuck, this is because all the extra skin located in this areas plus your abdominal muscle needs to be repaired. Before all this, of course, you need to get a complete medical evaluation and laboratory exams to check everything is fine. For us your safety, always, is going to be first. Have a great day! Dr. JPG
The recommended BMI is less than 30. This is the recommendation of the American society of plastic surgery. The reason simply, is increased chance of complications. These include but limited to, pulmonary embolus, deep venous thrombosis, delayed wound healing and increase infection rate. A Brazilian butt lift is a safe and effective procedure that combines liposuction of the abdomen hips waist and back and then fat grafting to the gluteal region. This is a safe and effective way to contour the lower body. After a successful Brazilian Butt lift, the fat that remains will stay there for the rest of your life. Like the rest of the tissue in your body this fat will grow and age with you.The common donor sites for this procedure is your posterior waist/flanks, lateral thighs, back, waist, and anterior tummy.Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton of Brazilian Butt Lifts and has privileges to do this surgery at a local university hospital. This says his credentials have been checked out by fellow Drs. All surgeries carry risk, talk to your plastic surgeon and choose one wisely. Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual consultations where you send us your photos and we can estimate the cost. I, like many surgeons, also offer free consultations so that you can be examined and given the most accurate quote.
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You are in the border line with a BMI of 32, but still can have the surgery done, as long as your health is well. Based on your photos you are a good candidate for a liposuction with bbl, and i think you'll get very good results. But i suggest you to think about having a tummy tuck also, because it'll look like much better and it seems you are beginning to have some extra skin. The fat transfer, often called Brazilian butt lift has become extremely popular because it allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You improve your waist, hips and of course your buttock, to give you a beautiful heart shape.I recommend you to make an appointment with a board plastic surgeon for a good evaluation and to talk about your goals.Good luck :)
Thank you for your question and photographs. If your BMI is higher than 30 you are at an increased risk of complications occurring. I would recommend getting your BMI down to at least 30 or below. I also recommend that my patients remain at their goal weight for at least 6 months before having surgery done for optimal results. It is important to remember to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle through diet and exercise, even after surgery for best results and to reduce your chance of health related issues. I hope this helps.Best of luck in your endeavors!Sincerely,James Fernau, MD, FACSBoard Certified ENTBoard Certified Plastic SurgeryMember of ASPS, ASAPS, ISAPS, The Rhinoplasty Society, AAFPRS, OTO/HNS, ASLMS, International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics & Science
Hello and thank you for your excellent question. At this time, you are an excellent candidate for a BBL. Of course, you will need an in-person consultation to evaluate you for this procedure. Preoperative visualization and surgical simulation with the Crisalix system may help with your decision. Any treatment plan should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation in person with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck! Hello and thank you for your excellent question. There are a number of reasons why your BBL is shrinking. One possibility is fat graft loss. Another is that your weight is changing. If you are concerned, I suggest you seek consultation for either a repeat BBL, or possible implant placement. ...
