Your orbit has healed by now. You may want to visit your surgeon for a complete analysis of the results. You may need a bleaching cream to reduce the hyperpigmentation (darkening under the eyes).
Best to see you surgeon. From the photo, it appears you are healing well. Numbness and pain can take months to resolve. As long as you are getting better, that's a good sign.
When I look at your photograph, I can see that the left eye sits well back from the position of the right eye. This is called enophthalmos. I wonder if you had the orbital floor adequately reduced. This is something that is easily determined on a CT scan. I recommend that you consult an oculoplastic surgeon who can assess what you need. The American Society for Ophthalmic Plastic and Recostructive Surgery maintains a directory on their website that can help you find a well qualified surgeon close to home.
It looks like you have hemosiderin deposition in your skin. This is a blood product that can cause extended skin darkening anytime there is a severe bruise. The residual pigmentation will gradually fade, but this can often take a year to resolve completely. Fractures take many months (more than 3) to heal. If the tenderness is slowly getting better, there is probably nothing to worry about. If it is not getting better, you should see your doctor again for a repeat evaluation.
If by 6 months still with staining consider laser therapy. As for the sensitivity issues this could take over a year to improve...
The thinness of eyelid tissues can retain swelling and tenderness for some time after orbital pattern fractures. The bruising represents hemosiderin staining (iron from blood cells) and can take a long time to completely go away. This is a process that can take up to six months or longer for complete resolution of all symptoms.
A picture would be helpful, but I suspect the problem you are referring to has to do with a difference in the position of your lower eyelids. Lower eyelid asymmetry when smiling is a common problem and not likely related to how you sleep. If you like the lower side better, the higher side can be...
It is unusual to have it come apart so many days after the surgery. The dissolvable sutures will usually dissolve after anywhere from 5-12 days depending on what type were used. That normally allows enough time for the wound to heal. If there was an excessive...
There are available treatments for your concerns, and a picture would help tremendously. For the hollows, fillers are a wonderful option and they can range from Belotero to Fat transfer with pros and cons of each. For the skin trouble, mild resurfacing with lasers/microneedling may be an option...
Tough to tell from this picture but you may have some ptosis on the left. This may not resolve, but can be repaired at 6 months. For the redness: try some over the counter hydrocortisone cream for one week. You can also ask you doctor about using a vitamin C serum which...
We never do these surgeries with general anesthesia in my practice. Local with some sedation is all that is needed for a comfortable surgery. If it is just lids they can even be done with straight local anesthesia.
Cosmetic eyelid procedures are performed to freshen and rejuvenate the eyelids. The results can be dramatic, but should not alter the patient's appearance, rather enhance. Please discuss these concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon prior to your procedure. Good luck.
