Botox relaxes muscles of expression. In the forehead the affected muscle elevates the brow, so relaxing it can make it more droopy. The same applies if the skin is loose. Ultherapy and browlifting surgery might be better options, depending on your individual condition.
Hello there,Thank you for your question. If you're looking to tighten the skin, you should consider discussing laser resurfacing, radio frequency devices, micro needling with PRP or at worst case, a forehead lift. While botox will soften the wrinkles, it will not actually tighten the skin. I recommend speaking with a board-certified physician regarding your concerns so you can both come up with a treatment plan that will best suit your aesthetic needs. Hope this helps. All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACSBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Hello, thank you for your question. Botox is used to temporarily inhibit muscle action that may actually be helping hold the loose skin on your forehead up. Therefore, Botox will not address the problem of loose skin. You may be better suited for a filler that will add volume and stretch the skin, or a laser resurfacing treatment, depending on how much loose skin there is. I recommend scheduling an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who can look at what you are referring to and give you more detailed advice. Good luck!
Hi there, thanks for your question. BOTOX® can be very effective at smoothing away dynamic lines and wrinkles in your forehead area, although it cannot address loose or sagging skin. For this reason, you may want to talk to a board-certified plastic surgeon about combining BOTOX® with a laser skin treatment to address both sagging skin and wrinkles and enhance your overall results.
Thank you for your question Jackson john. I understand your concern. Botoxis a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facialexpression. It is difficult to make an assessment without photographs. Botox can treat horizontal lines seen on the upper forehead when one raises the brows. Loose skin is treated with skin tightening such as fractional CO2 laser resurfacing. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Thank-you for your question.Botox is used to to temporarily stops muscle contraction that causes the lines in the skin. It does soften lines. Loose skin can be due underlying fat loss , loss of elastin and collagen in the skin .Your injecting doctor can determine the cause and manage appropriately. Loss of underlying fat is usually replaced with a dermal filler but skin elasticity and collagen we suggest laser ore retinols which will stimulate collagen formation. I hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. Botox relaxes muscles in which smooths out wrinkles, however, it is not a skin tightener. A forehead lift is typically performed for sagging.
Botox treatment can be used to relax dynamic wrinkles on the upper face such as crow's feet, forehead lines, and frown lines. It can also be used to raise the eyebrows. However, it does not tighten skin or replace lost volume. You may consider fillers or energy based devices such as Thermage for addressing volume loss or lax skin on the forehead.
Botox is used to treat dynamic lines so if the forehead problem is loose skin it will not help
Thank you for your question. For most cases Botox has been and continues to provide amazing results for lines in the forehead. It will last about 4 months and you would simply return to your injector to repeat the process. Best!
Unless you have some drooping of the brow after botox, I do not see any problem in taking muscle relaxants after your injection. Christian Drehsen, MD
In my practice, I haven't seen any migration with Botox. Leaning over should not be a problem if your forehead was treated, because if the Botox did migrate, it would go toward the scalp – lifting more – rather than the eyebrows. We recommend refraining from vigorous exercise and heat exp...
Hi and thank you for your question! Over years I have performed several thousand Botox injections and have never seen a similar situation. Some minor swelling right after Botox injection is common and it goes away within hours. In your case, the swelling and puffiness might be an incidental...
The label indicates that Clindamycin could amplify side effects of Botox but if you had Botox for cosmetic treatments, the dose is too low to spread systemically. In any case, after 3 weeks it has cleared your system..
Yes we do this frequently in my practice, it take sa number of units and has to be done every 3-4 months but is often life changing. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi and thank you for your question! I have performed several thousands of Botox injections and have yet to see a reaction similar to what you experienced. While there is always a small possibility that your reactions were related to Botox, the fact that you did not see...
