I'm 28 yrs old now. I've got my first Sculptra injection on my cheeks and lower face 3 weeks ago. I had to say I hate the puffy looking on my lower face . I was born with a heart shape face with little fat , but now the Sculptra brings me a rectangle face! I I know Sculptra may last for years , I just wonder if it would go away soon since I would not do the second treatment. And is it possible that the growing of collagen not stop after this injection?
Answer: Sculptra result Thank you for your question and for sharing your experience and concerns with us. Sculptra is a very nuanced injectable product and technique and assessment is critical to help optimize the result. Before and after pictures would help assess if Sculptra can be used to help achieve the shape you are looking for. The other option you have given your age could be the traditional injectables. I am a trainer for Sculptra as well as the traditional injectables such as Voluma, Restylane, Juvederm, etc., and I do find that range of experience for Sculptra is greater than that of the traditional fillers. Part of this relies on the ability to predict how someone will respond to Sculptra. I would recommend that you visit with a plastic surgeon or dermatologist who has a high volume injectable practice and who has a great deal of experience with Sculptra to discuss your current concerns.

Answer: Three weeks may still show swelling after sculptra at three weeks, you may still have a case of prolonged swelling after sculptra. I wouldn't consider those results your permanent results. Although removing the sculptra is not possible, check with your provider if to see if you are still swollen, and hopefully some of that will subside soon for you.do not do the second treatment if you feel you are overfilled with the first treatment.good luck to you.

Answer: Sculptra and Results at 3 weeks Sculptra results for a first time treatment are not evident for 6-8 weeks minimum and only if multiple vials are used. Sculptra is subtle and takes many treatments to change facial shape/contour. Please review your before and after photos with your physician to decide on the best next step. Dr. Emer.

Answer: Best Treatment to Correct Unsatisfactory Sculptra Result Hi Rachel,Sorry to hear about your concerns. The amount of volume change with Sculptra is directly proportional to the number of injection sessions that you have. Sculptra is a great facial rejuvenator when used properly and with natural artistic vision. I would re-evaluate your face in 3-6 months to restore your natural heart shaped face. Most importantly choose your injecting physician most carefully based on their skill, experience, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.Dr. P

Answer: Sculptra -- Post Treatment Lower Face Overfilled I am sorry to hear your experience. #Sculptra is a collagen stimulating agent that is different than hyaluronic acid fillers (#Voluma, #Vobella, #Volift, #Juvederm, #Restylane). At this early stage, you are not seeing the "final" result and you are likely experiencing swelling. Over the next week, you will return close to your baseline appearance as the swelling decreases. Mild collagen growth will continue to occur for 4-12 weeks. Please voice your concerns to your board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon so he or she can re-evaluate and reassure you. Best of luck,Suneel Chilukuri, M.D.Houston, TX
