I have never seen anyone with a nose as short and as bulbous as mine. I don't think my general ugliness can be fixed but I do wonder if there is a fix for my nose or if nothing can be done. I will try to do a consultation eventually but I don't know if it is worth it if the nose is just not fixable. Thanks and sorry for having to look at my face.
Answer: Correcting a short bulbous nose Thanks for your question and there's no need to apologize. You are will have a remarkable facial transformation and a rhinoplasty is a good starting point. Your nose is indeed foreshortened, bulbous, wide with thick overlying skin and little to no columellar show (the fleshy partition seperating your left and right nostrils). If your nose is to be corrected, most certainly an open rhinoplasty approach would be needed. During the surgery, most likely your skin would need to be thinned out from underneath, your nasal tip cartilages refined, your nose elongated with grafts and your bones narrowed among other things. Make sure you see a board certified plastic surgeon and look very carefully at their before and after photos of other patients. Computer imaging can be a useful tool as well but don't solely rely on that when making your decision.

Answer: Bulbous tip You are a good candidate for a rhinoplasty in order to refine the tip to make less bulbous. I recommend you schedule a consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals. In addition, they may be able to provide a morphed photo of what your nose could look like after surgery.

Answer: What can be done with my short and bulbous nose? Hello,Thanks for your question. I think that you would be quite pleased with what a tip rhinoplasty procedure could to to safely reduce the size of your nasal tip. Depending on how thick your skin is, you might get quite a nice result. I would recommend that you consult with a rhinoplasty specialist for more information. That being said, you don't seem to have a very good opinion of your looks. Plastic surgery can not fix this issue. If you want any plastic surgery to be successful, I would recommend that you speak to a psychologist about how you see yourself in the mirror first. Good luck,Dr. Shah

Answer: Asian rhinoplasty Well, I have seen and attended many like you. Not being fully asian blood, it is evident to me the asian and most likley Filipino backgrounds in your nose, since this kind of extremely difficult rhinoplasties happen to be done in my patients with such origin. Seems you have the following issues, here a list including their solution: -flat dorsum: needs a raise with likely auricular or rib cartilage supply, eventually with temporalis fascia cover -short nose, short septum: massively shortfall of support best treated with caudal extension grafts + L mounted columellar strut -poorly defined and poorly supported tip: needs lateral crura support and extension batten grafts, tip Sheen's or shield grafting, etc -tip oversized: but not that much due to cartilage excess (still some), but for the (to some surgeons) well known Filipino huge fibrofatty pad at the tip in need of defatting -oversized alae: suitable to wedge resection at the alar crease -thick alar rims: suitable to rim narrowing by means of a marginal wedge excision Finally, let me suggest an indirect lip-lift/philtrum shortening (aka bullhorn lift) for your upper lip. Yours is an extremely difficult nose, however NOT an atypical one... any surgeon who deals reagularly with Filipino noses is used to face such technical ordeals; needless to say I perform quite often such cases. I'd rate 10 out of 10 in difficulty scale of primary ethnic noses; surgical time 5-6 hours. Do research well the experience of the surgeon. Better images are required to provide overal assessment of your nose. Feel free to request any additional information from me.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Please don't apologize for your looks! In terms of helping some of your facial features, a rhinoplasty is the best starting point. You are right that your nose is short with a wide, bulbous tip. A rhinoplasty could be done to correct this issues. You should start by consulting with someone who does a lot of rhinoplasties to see what can be done.
