CONTACT NOW Answer: 8 months post op You should make an appointment with your plastic surgeon to see if you should get a revision done. The final shape of your breasts will start to look its best approximately three (3) months after surgery. It takes time for the skin and muscle to stretch and relax around the new implant. The breast will often look higher, firmer, and “less natural” in the first three (3) months. It can take up to a year to see your final result.

Answer: Rounding Out the Lower Pole Thank you very much for your question, and the pictures. It appears as though your implants are a bit high, and if they haven't dropped at 8 months to round out the lower pole, they likely will not at this point. I recommend talking about this with your plastic surgeon, and seeing what can be done to get you the look you desire. Best of luck!

Answer: Will my augmented breast shape change 8 months after surgery? Hello,Thank you for your questions and for sharing photos. Unfortunately by 8 months the majority of any implant settling has taken place and it is unlikely that you would have significant changes though healing does continue for about a year after surgery. I see the areas you are concerned about with the flatness over the lower breasts. This could be due to a capsular contracture or may be how your anatomy settled with healing. The only way to determine this would be with an in-person exam.I would encourage you to meet with you plastic surgeon to discuss you concerns so that he/she can can examine you and advise you whether watchful waiting is indicated or a return to the operating room for a revision. Incisions in the axilla can take some time to feel normal again since the skin is in a very sensitive area. Ingrown hairs can develop and lead to continued soreness. You plastic surgeon can evaluate this area as well to make sure that everything is healing as expected.Best of Luck!Dr. Rednam

Answer: Implants round out on the bottom after 8 months Although in most cases the final position of the implant is noted in six months, occasionally it can take longer by several months. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. He or she may have you massage or employee other maneuvers to allow the implant to settle more quickly.
