Answer: Implants round out on the bottom after 8 months Although in most cases the final position of the implant is noted in six months, occasionally it can take longer by several months. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. He or she may have you massage or employee other maneuvers to allow the implant to settle more quickly.

Answer: Will my Implants round out on the bottom after 8 months? Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. Unfortunately at 8 months after surgery your results have taken on their long-term appearance. It is difficult to know what may be taking place, as a number of possibilities exist. A capsular contracture would cause the elevated position of the implants and pinched appearance relative to your natural breast tissue, and surgical treatment to release this scar would allow better positioning of the implants behind your nipple position. If you have suffered bottoming out of the implants, with your natural breast tissue falling off the implant, then a breast lift would help correct this. See your plastic surgeon for an in-person assessment and discussion of your treatment options.
