Can you fix black very black ear lobes? (photos)

Like both of my earlobes are black because I twist them while I suck my thumb...but I've been doing that all my life...I'm now 32 years old but they've been like this the last six years...my family say its from wearing fake earnings...but once I got preganet in 2008 is like when they really got worse I mean ugly!!!

Pigmentation changes (color changes) can be caused by hormones (pregnancy--though I've never seen it in the earlobe) as well as repetitive trauma. The best place for you to start might actually be with a dermatologist or allergist/immunologist. Also, though it might be a challenge for you, the simplest thing may be to stop twisting your earlobes, if possible. Perhaps healing will occur on its own.

PIH is very common, particularly on darker skinned individuals. It generally goes away after the trauma goes away, although it can take some time. I would recommend starting Hydroquinone or some kind of topical melanocyte stabilizer to accelerate the lightening process. Most importantly, however, you need to stop twisting your earlobes or whatever is inciting this Inflammation.
