I had a very bad arm lift done and want to know if anyone thinks they can improve on it. I had it done in order to feel more confident and now I am still feeling the same embarrassment but now because of the Plastic Surgery . I was told the scar would be on the inside of my arm and not visible.

The scar can be remove surgically and suture  it again with a fine technique, the you can treat the wound once it has been healed with a scar cream, gel or even laser CO2 ...

You have a wide scar and your scar will always be visible. To revise your arm, I would suggest two operations. In the first, liposuction is used to reduce the size and bulkiness of your arm. The second surgery, performed 6 months later removes the wide scar. Then you apply Embrace Scar Defense for 10 to 12 weeks to reduce scar widening. Alternatively, if you lose the excess weight and can debulk the arm through diet and exercise, then only the scar revision with Embrace will be needed. Best wishes, Dr. Aldo

Brachioplasty scars tend to be some of the worse scars in body contouring surgery.  There is usually some degree of scar widening and some secondary relaxation of the skin.  Extra fatty tissue usually worsens the issue by stretching the scar.  Ideally the scar should be located in the inner arm, so it is not visible unless your arm is raised.  A combination of removing the excess fat through weight loss or liposuction followed by resection of the remaining excess skin with a multilayer closure and meticulous post operative scar care is likely to lead to the best results.  Also, I'm not sure of the timing of your previous surgery, but scars will show improvement up to a year after the procedure.
