I paid extra during revision to include lipo and not sure if they did that. The banding is bad (right arm) and looks like he pulled skin too tight. Can something be done to reverse this banding? Do I need to request another revision? I don't know what to do.

Answer: Arm lift and scarring The "worst scar in plastic surgery." That's what I tell my patients when they come asking for brachioplasty surgery. The reason for this is that this is one of the few incisions in plastic surgery that is visible in a clothed patient. It never fully goes away, and can sometimes be irregular, raised, or jagged. For this reason I only perform this surgery on patients that have lost a significant amount of weight and the arm is mostly skin. They tend to have the best resuls, and are the most appreciative. Patients with heavy, full arms that have not lost weight usually never attain idea results, and they have continue to have full arms with an unsightly scar. Currently, in your case, I would wait a full year to allow the scar and arm surgery to mature and improve. In the meantime, exercise and weight loss would be ideal. After a year from your surgery, I would then revisit the scars and the contour of the arm with your surgeon. After that time, a revision maybe necessary, or perhaps not. Good luck.

Answer: Arm lift The banding is usually anatomy but can be difficult to treat. Discussion with your plastic surgeon for any treatment options is recommended.
