Hypersensitive nipples 2 years after gynecomastia surgery

Hypersensitive nipples two years after gynecomastia surgery could be due to various reasons such as nerve sensitivity or scarring. Nipple hypersensitivity can happen after gynecomastia surgery, and can also happen after female breast reduction surgery.
From my experience, hypersensitivity was fairly common after breast reduction surgery, and it usually settle down 6 to 12 months after the procedure.
Have not had gynecomastia surgery outcomes complain of hypersensitivity, though it is certainly possible.
There may be desensitization protocols, potential medical treatment, while not well described possible surgical intervention to reduce hypersensitivity in this region, if warranted.
Perhaps some of the other providers will have greater insight.
There may be physical therapist, or occupational therapist, who have experience with desensitization exercises that may be of benefit.
