When one does dermarolling with 1mm needle there is some bleeding. When using vivace RF with 1mm I did not see bleeding.
Answer: Vivace and dermaroller don't compare The Vivace is a much more sophisticated type of microneedling, mostly because it combines it with RF, and even blue or red light therapy. I usually recommend deeper depth on the needles than 1mm, I think it can go to 3 or 3.5mm deep. Not everyone bleeds after the procedure, so don't be discouraged by that. I would suggest they give you a more aggressive treatment though.

Answer: Minimal bleeding with Vivace Hello! The Vivace delivers powerful RF energy from the tips of the 36 needles, and this energy cauterizes blood vessels while tightening the skin. Therefore there is much less bleeding during a Vivace treatment compared with a traditional microneedle device. Studies have shown that using needles on a rolling drum creates microtears in the skin as the needles are dragged out of the skin at an angle, so I do not recommend these devices. The Vivace needles can be adjusted to a depth range of 0.5mm to 3.5mm. The gold insulation insures the RF energy is delivered to the precise location in the dermis to deliver maximum results. There is really no comparison between the 1mm dermaroller and the Vivace device; I would not rely on the presence or absence of blood to determine whether the treatment is effective. I hope this helps! - Dr. Brown

Answer: When using Vivace for antiaging what needle size would you recommend? Needles in Vivace can reach a depth of 3.5mm. You cannot compare microneedling done with a rolling pin to the Vivace technique. Vivace needles penetrate the skin in a more gentle way while a manual pin can create more superficial wounds.Love Your Skin.

Answer: Vivace Post Treatment Hi and thank you for your question!! Each microneedling procedure /treatment is a little different. Vivace is needling with radiofrequency and it delivers the needling in a more consistent and controlled pattern than some other devices. This is usually & less often visibly traumatic to the superficial tissue. Also, because it is delivery radiofrequency energy during each pulse, this in itself will minimize some of the bleeding. We use 1-1.2 mm on the upper facial areas, around the eyes and forehead. We use 1.5-3 mm in the other areas and the neck. Vivace is a great treatment for overall rejuvenation, brightening, texture and some tightening! Best, Dr. Grant Stevens

Answer: Vivace Needle Depth vs. Dermarolling Seeing bleeding with either the Vivace or other microneedling devices is not an indication of how effective the treatment is. I have found that any instances of pinpoint bleeding from Vivace treatments in my patients has been minimal. The Vivace has options for needle depth that range from 0.5mm – 3.5mm. Depending on the area being treated, different needle depths are recommended. For example, on a more bony area like the forehead, a more shallow needle depth would be recommended than on an area like the cheek. This care in choosing precise needle depth and customizing it for each patient is one of the reasons I strongly discourage the use of at-home dermarollers or microneedling devices. In my opinion, these treatments are best performed by trained professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes and ensure patient safety.
