I would be careful about sleeping medications while recovering from surgery. You want to be alert so you do not fall and cause an unnecessary complication. I recommend tylenol pm for postop pain and sleeping aid. All the best.
If you are taking any prescription medications after your surgery it is always best to check with your plastic surgeon before taking anything new or if you are having continued problems getting comfortable.
If you are having back pain in your muscles, then the Methocarbamol would be more helpful than the Unisom. Be sure to discuss your concerns with your PS.
