Can you see the horizontal scar when wearing a bathing suit when having breast taken out and a lift?

Thank you for your question and I can understand your concerns about scar placement after breast lift.  If you need a full anchor incision breast lift, a horizontal scar across your breast crease may be visible in smaller two piece swimsuits.  Talk to your surgeon about your concerns. They may be able to either provide reassurance, or offer recommendations on how to minimize the appearance and position of any incision.

You may not have a horizontal scar with your lift depending on the type that you are having. Typically the scar is hidden in the breast fold which normally is covered by a bathing suit. Over time this scar should fade and heal so that even if your swim suit moves the scar should be unobtrusive.

If you are having a full lift with your implant removal, you will have an incision placed in your inframammory fold. This fold is often concealed within the crease of the breast. Yes, your concerns are well-founded and understandable.  Patients can complain of  "inframammary" scars. Of course, much will depend on your starting anatomy, placement of the incision lines/scars, and the swimming suit you plan to wear. My best suggestion: select your plastic surgeon carefully.
