You may notice some additional swelling, and the skin may get dry from the salty tears. This dryness will make the skin look crepey. Keep the area well lubricated. And as things improve in your life, your eyes should too.

While crying can be associated with a degree of eyelid swelling, I agree that it can do little harm. Eye rubbing is another matter. Generally at week 3, the healing pattern for following eyelid surgery is pretty well set. I suspect that you will be ok. If you have concerns, please see you surgeon and just be honest with them regarding what is going on. Life happens.
