Answer: Vitamins This is best discussed with your surgeon for everyone his his/her preference of when and what supplements to take. If in doubt, stop all supplements for at least two weeks prior and one week after. I do ask my patients to continue Vitamin C and zinc for better healing and am fine with protein only powders.

Answer: BA It is best to follow your surgeon's specific pre-operative instructions regarding supplements and vitamins before your breast augmentation surgery. They may have specific recommendations based on your medical history and individual needs. Regarding creatine and protein supplements, some surgeons may recommend discontinuing their use a few weeks before surgery to avoid potential interactions with anesthesia or other medications. Additionally, some types of protein supplements may contain high levels of sodium or caffeine, which can cause dehydration and affect blood pressure during surgery. Regarding post-operative supplements and vitamins, it is typically safe to resume taking most supplements and vitamins once you have fully recovered from surgery and have received clearance from your surgeon. However, it is essential to discuss this with your surgeon and follow their specific recommendations as certain supplements or vitamins may interfere with healing or interact with any medications you may be taking. In general, it is recommended to resume taking supplements and vitamins gradually, starting with a lower dose and gradually increasing to the recommended dose. You should also ensure that you are taking high-quality supplements and vitamins from a reputable source to ensure their safety and effectiveness. Best of luck !
