Is double eyelid tape safe?

I would like to know if double eyelid tape would be safe to put on my lids. I've read some information saying that my lids will get saggy and will also cause inflammation after a continuous application.

Eyelid tape is generally safe but you can become sensitive or allergic to the adhesive.  Try wearing it on a test area such as your inner arm for a day first,  and limit the overall time you wear the tape.

It is not surgery but it can be used to make a nonsurgical break in the eyelid.  For many who are afraid of surgery or simply can't afford surgery this works for them.  It does take some skill to apply the tape but I have not seen evidence that it does long term harm.

Yes eyelid double tape is usually safe, and usually used after blepharoplasty surgery to help maintain the correct position of the healing eyelid.  However, some patients can have a temporary reaction to the adhesive.

Like anything else, there is some risks from taping.  It is safe for the most part, the risk could be from the adhesive because people can have a reaction to the adhesive.  Eyelid tape works very well, but once the tape comes off your normal lid will come back. Eyelid tape can work, but it is temporary.

Eyelid taping is safe. Common sense should guide your use of it. If Irritation and /or itching develops or you don't care for the appearance stop using it.

There are some risks to using the tape. But for the most part, it is safe. There is the possibility of having a reaction to the adhesive.
