Predicting a bra size with just an implant volume is impossible. Mostly depends on the bra size that you start out with, type of implant, etc etc.Typically, in an average size woman, you can expect an increase in cup size with every additional 175cc. I hope this helps.- Dr. Bryson Richards
Hello! Thank you for your question. In general, implant size does not correlate with bra cup size. The cup size itself will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer as well as who is doing the actual measurements. Thus, cup size is never a reliable indicator for your breast size. I typically encourage my patients not to communicate her desires in cup size but more on the actual look and appearance. Each 150-200cc would roughly increase a cup size. But, varies in regards to projection as well as body characteristics. Good communication between you and your surgeon of your expectations is warranted - choosing your surgeon wisely is the first step. Discussion of your wishes and having an honest and open dialog of your procedure is mandatory (e.g, implant type, incision, placement, etc). Implant profile will also make a difference on the projection, which will influence overall breast/cup size. I have found that photographs brought by the patient is helpful to get a visualization of the appearance you wish for in terms of size, shape, fullness, etc. In addition, your surgeon's pre and postoperative photographs should demonstrate a realistic goal for you of results. Sizers are helpful during an in-office consultation. Once this has been accomplished, allow your surgeon to utilize his/her best medical judgment during the procedure to finesse the best possible result for you after preoperative biodimensional planning and fitting the right implant for your breast width. This is the most important determinant for the sizing of implants, which will provide the optimal result and most aesthetically-pleasing result for you.Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon well-versed in breast procedures who will examine and discuss with you the various options and factors to consider and help you decide which one will be the right one for you. Hope me that this helps! Best wishes for a wonderful result!
Hello, implants of a given size will not reliably result in a certain bra size, because each person's pre-existing breast size and shape is unique. Also, bra manufacturers to not have standard cup sizing. You would need to have proper measurements to determine your cup size for a particular bra type.
The only way to know your correct bra size is to go in to bra shop/department and have them measure you. Based on implant size alone that doesn't mean you'll be a certain bra size. Breast implants are different on every body and every bra type is different as well. A patient my be a C cup in one bra and a D cup in another type of bra. If you would like more information regarding breast augmentation and the recovery process, you can download a free copy of my breast augmentation planner at ABetterBreast.com.
There good sizing systems were you can "try on" a particular size. This will allow you to see if it would generate the look your after.
The best was for you to know which bra would be best for you, would be to try on bras at a store with a good fitter. Best of luck. Implant volumes can not predict cup size.
There is no way to predict what cup size you will be with a 440 cc implant. Every patient is different with height, weight, breast tissue and skin elasticity etc. Be patient and try some on.Best of luck,Vincent Marin, MDSan Diego Plastic Surgeon
Thank you for your question. Even if a plastic surgeon knew everything about you like your starting breast size and all of your other dimensions it would be impossible to predict your bra size because there is no standardization when it comes to bra sizes. You may be a C cup with one manufacturer and D cup with another.
Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. Online consultants will not be able to predict, with any reliability/accuracy, what cup size you will end up wearing. You will need to go bra shopping/fitting; in my practice, I ask patients to wait 3 to 6 months before doing so. Don't be surprised, at that time, if you end up different wearing different bra cup sizes, depending on who makes the bra. Generally speaking, I ask my patients not to communicate their goals and/or evaluate the outcome of breast surgery in terms of achieving a specific cup size ( given the variability in the measurement of cup sizes…). Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with, regardless of the specific cup size achieved.
Cup size will vary from manufacturers and what your final results will look like has everything to do with where you started from. So if you were an A cup to begin with versus a B or C cup then the implants are only adding more volume to your existing breast tissue.
Some surgeon measure from the "anterior axillary line" to the mid-chest, others measure just the breast mound. It is a reference that the surgeon uses to determine their maximum width of the implant profile.Various methods important to discuss with your surgeon include:1.Goal photographs to...
600 cc implants are large and without photos, we really cannot tell you more about your situation. Perhaps you can repost before and after photos to get more useful information. 3 weeks is early, but this seems difficult to believe.Continue to follow up with your surgeon to ensure that you...
Hello! Thanks for your question.Implant style (low, moderate, moderate plus, high profile) is merely a relationship between the volume of the implant, the width of the implant, and the projection of the implant. For example, you can compare the dimensions of the following two implants:350cc...
