Am I paranoid about heavy brow and eyelids after 1st Botox experience? (Photo)

The first time you have a botox treatment it can feel very odd. You may experience a heavy feeling and a possible headache. Generally this will settle over the next few days. You will naturally still be trying to frown and it can feel very strange when you can no longer do this. At around two weeks this should be fully settled. There is a small risk of eyebrow heaviness or drooping of the eye if the toxin migrates into a nearby muscle. If you do experience this it normally only lasts a couple of weeks. If you are still concerned at two weeks you should speak to your doctor.

Botox results take up to 1-2 weeks and last up to 3-4 months in new areas of treatment. If the botox drops your brow it can be softened with venus legacy and thermage treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Sometimes you can feel a little "different" after your first Botox experience, since this is the first time you are feeling the effects.  However, if you are really concerned about the side effects, I would call your doctor or make an appointment to discuss your issues.  Good luck

You are getting used to not using a certain set of muscles. It takes 14 days for the full effects to be seen after having Botox. If you are concerned after this I would see your injector or if symptoms worsen or further worrying signs develop I would go back back earlier.

Feeling odd after Botox is not that unusual since someone has literally been sticking you with a needle just two days ago. It will take anywhere from 3 to 5 days for Botox to kick in and starting from that point on you should start seeing changes in your face and I hope they will be all good. Hey Sarah - thank for the question. It's great that your injector has warned you about the potential adverse effects of botox as well as the benefits.
As a long time injector myself, I find it extremely rare for any of these negative side effects to occur, and if they do they tend to be very mild.
The sensation you're experiencing can be normal as your muscles are starting to relax. Try not to worry but if there are any visible changes do go back for a follow up appointment.

Your forehead will feel a bit different after the Botox and this is common. After about a week, you should get used to it. I don't see anything unusual in your pictures. Millions of treatments are done each year and it is a very safe procedure. Rarely there is a little brow heaviness which resolves on it own after a week or 2. Ask your provider it there is further concern.
