Hi @Tiffany280! I recommend Morpheus 8. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper than other microneedling devices, triggering the skin’s natural healing response to promote skin tightening and lifting. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Our office has many different treatments for acne scars depending on the depth of atrophy or hypertrophy. Acne scars require a combination approach using our HI DEF protocol which uses a combination of lasers, topical scar modulation, and RF treatments to pixelate scars, improve contour, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve the visibility of the scars so that they are no longer visible in ambient light. Everyone has a unique pattern of acne scarring and we employ our HIDEF technique to improve texture, color, contour, and topography. We often use a combination of treatments that begin with a careful examination to examine the micro texturing of the acne scars. Atrophic acne scars and indented acne scars can benefit from injectable fillers such as Radiesse, Sculptra, and Restylane with or without subcision to remove tethered scars and atrophic depression. Hyper-redness in scars can be improved with V beam laser, Excel V, BBL, IPL, and Venus RF to improve the redness and reduce the visibility of deep scars. Fractional Thulium laser and clear & brilliant can also reduce the inflammation and redness of the scar when combined with topical therapy. Fractional lasers such as Fraxel, erbium, and CO2 laser can be combined with radio frequency and also fractional RF to improve textual issues and microtopography. Subcision and TCA cross are also used for deep ice pick scars and narrow valley scars in order to improve the micro texture. Above all, our combination approach with our clinical nurses and board-certified plastic surgeons can improve the quality of your skin by using at home Melarase creams combined with PRP treatments in our office to improve your skin quality and tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced team of experts in order to reduce your acne scarring. Finally, hyperpigmentation of scars can be improved with at-home Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads to help reduce active PIH and melanin deposition.Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
The purpose of microneedling is to help generate new skin tissue and stimulate newcollagen production. If you are struggling with acne scarring, adding PRF to yourmicroneedling treatment is a great option for you. PRF will help your skin heal andregenerate quicker by restoring growth factors in the skin and adding even more benefitto the collagen stimulation. Adding PRF to your treatment will rejuvenate dull skin andimprove texture further than just microneedling alone. Along with the microneedlingtreatment, injecting PRF under the skin using a cannula technique will provide evengreater benefits as we are able to distribute the benefits of PRF into the different planesof tissues. Going forward, I would recommend you to complete multiple in officeconsultations with board certified experts to discuss your aesthetic goals. This way, they can work alongside you to determine your best treatment option.Best of luck,Kian Karimi MD, FACS
Microneedling can be a good treatment for all of these concerns, but why not boost the efficacy of your procedure with RF microneedling? This procedure combines traditional microneedling with radiofrequency energy to enhance the overall results. The microneedles create tiny channels in the skin, which allow for the delivery of gentle radiofrequency energy deep into the dermal layers. This process triggers the body to increase collagen production to smooth skin and reduce imperfections from the inside out. Improvements occur over time and can be long-lasting with just one treatment session. I use the Profound RF device for this treatment, and customize the depth of the procedure to the precise needs of each patient for the best possible results. Always work with an experienced, board-certified provider to ensure a safe and successful treatment.
Hi Tiffany280Microneedling has shown to help improve a number of skin issues. A 2009 study showed that over 80% of patients who used this procedure to treat acne scarring had assessed their treatment as ‘excellent’ and felt that their acne scars were visibly reduced. For more information about this procedure, please visit our website.
Microneedling is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation technique that uses a mechanical device with fine needles to create controlled injury. This triggers the body to produce more collagen. It addresses fine lines and wrinkles, loose and sagging skin, acne and scarring, uneven texture, stretch marks, and pore size. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures and get a complete assessment to see which are the best treatments for you.
Microneedling, lasers, and chemical peels will work for best enlarged pores, rough texture, and acne scars. There are slight pros and cons from one versus the other depending on the nuances of your skin but you can benefit from all three. Johnson C. Lee, MDBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Hello and thank you for your question. Microneedling is one of my favorite in office aesthetic procedures that we do. It helps greatly with the texture of your skin, it decreases pore size, helps stimulate collagen and elastin, helps with fine lines and wrinkles, as well as helps with acne scarring or general scars. There is minimal downtime. I would recommend about 3-4 treatments every 4-6 weeks to get the best result. I encourage you to get a consultation with an esthetician who does this regularly and can give you more details. Good luck to you!
Thank you for your questions! I think there are a couple options for you. First, if you are looking for some minimal downtime treatments then I definitely feel that microneedling would be a great option for you. I would suggest pairing the microneedling with PRP to boost the results even further. If you are able to give about 2 weeks of downtime then I think laser resurfacing would be the best option for you. This will help resurface that entire outer layer of skin to reveal a more youthful brighter skin tone and skin texture. Hope this helps!
Hello and thank you for your question. The best and most direct way to treat acne scarring, skin texture and tone is a CO2 laser resurfacing. Laser resurfacing, when done at an appropriate setting, can smooth and brighten rough, dull skin. There is downtime with the resurfacing anywhere form 7-14 days, you will be red and peeling during this time. Consult with a board certified cosmetic provider to discuss your goals and come up with a plan that suits you. Good luck!
Usually five treatments done monthly will improve acne scars. Deeper scars would benefit from adding TCA CROSS treatments as well. Please consult an experienced cosmetic dermatologist.

When it comes to hair growth and loss, you need a formal evaluation to see what type of hair loss you may have. When you have hair loss, it's best to do a full hormonal workup for internal optimization, evaluate it with a dermatoscope, and consider scalp biopsies or scrapings to rule out any...
