Went to a plastic surgeon, he recommended 3 syringes total. To balance out my checks and fill nasal labial folds. My main concern is that I’ve had bad (lumpy) fillers in my nasal labial folds. I have also seen a lot of over filled, monkey-esque faces. I want subtle yet gorgeous results. Please help!
Answer: How many syringes of filler needed for face? The number of syringes needed to treat a patient will vary, depending on which filler is used and the severity of the volume loss at the beginning of treatment. I would recommend focusing the injections on your cheeks and not putting any under your nasolabial folds. Adding the volume to your cheeks will create some pulling on the nasolabial folds, leading to improvement. I would most likely just use 2 syringes (1 for each cheek) and you could always add more later if needed.

Answer: Nasolabial Folds -- fillers, Sculptra, RF Treatments, Renuvion, peels // Facial Symmetry -- cheek contouring, fillers, Sculptra For nasolabial folds or smile lines: I recommend fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, radiofrequency treatments, Renuvion / J Plasma, and peels to get the most conservative natural look. For balancing out the cheeks: Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial symmetry. Fat or implants are alternatives.Technique is really important when it comes to facial sculpting -- particularly when it comes to achieving a subtle, natural-looking result. I suggest seeing a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Fillers In general, you don't need a lot of filler. I think that the most important areas for you would be nasolabial fold, temples, a bit under-eye and nose correction with lifting of the tip. This would require 3-4 syringes. Good technique is more important than the products selected, to avoid overfilling as you pointed out. NLFs only need one syringe total, one syringe in each temple, and the rest in under eye and nose.

Answer: How many syringes do I need to balance my face? From your photo, you need a very minimal amount of filler in the lateral cheek (malar) area to give a better contour and lift. You do not need filler in your nasolabial folds which are very soft and appropriate. I would recommend either Radiesse, which is long lasting, or Restylane Defyne which is very smooth, and one syringe is sufficient to give you what your desire.

Answer: Filler Hello there! It is very difficult to quantitate the amount of filler that you need without assessing you in person or injecting you. Everyone has different responses to filler based on their facial volume and structures. I would plan on at least two syringes in the cheeks, withholding filler in the nasolabial fold until the cheek filler affect is seen. Good luck! Sarah RN BSN
