botox wears off in 3-4 months, but if you have heavy lids they will improve after a few weeks. I would talk to your doctor about iopidine eye drops. Best, Dr. Emer.
If your eyelid closing issue is caused by the botox, it will wear off and resolve. Do not repeat whatever treatment you had that caused this. Supportive measures are needed with the use of drops and nighttime ointment until the effects of botox have worn off.
Thank you for your question. This happens when the lower eyelid is overly injected or Botox is injected into a patient who already has relax eyelids. A snap test should be done before receiving injections in this area. Unfortunately, there is no way to reverse Botox. It will take 3-4 months to wear off. In the meantime make sure you keeps your eyes moist to prevent drying of the cornea. If you still have concerns I recommend contacting an expert injector.
If the problem is due to the Botox it will take a few months to wear off; however, the main issue is going to be very dry eyes because they are not properly lubricated. Do not use Iopidine eye drops--that will make it worse. You need moisturizing drops such as ophthalmic saline without preservatives and you should see a board certified ophthalmologist
Thank you foryour question gildi67. I am sorry to hear about your situation. Botox isa purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. A small amount of Botox can be placed directly under the mid eye to help open up the eye. If too much is used it can become difficult to close the eye and one can experience dryness. Most people enjoy the results of the Botox treatment for 3-4 months. At that point side effects typically resolve. Please consult witha doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
This is a problem when the lower lid is overly injected or it is injected in the patient that already has lax eyelids. A snap test needs to be done in patients prior to this injection to make sure there isn't excessive laxity in the lid. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to expedite the reversal of Botox. You must make sure that the eye stays moist so as to prevent drying out of the cornea. Eyes don't need to rest as the brain does.
Thank you for your question. Botox works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle then can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. It is used cosmetically to treat the forehead, between the brows and crow’s feet. It can be used m...
Botox is used to decrease sweating and oil production therefore it is unlikely that your increased oil production is connected to your Botox injection. I would suggest you to make an appointment to determine the cause of the increased oil production. Good luck!
Thank you for your question! I am sorry that you are not satisfied with your Botox results. I would advise you to avoid microcurrent for the first few weeks after Botox injection. Botox anyways lasts 3-4 months, and it will be gone before you know it. Best of luck!
