Hard areas 1 week after Male chest vaser lipo. is this swelling or scar tissue?

I had male chest lipo 8 days ago and my bruising has now gone. mine was all fat and no breast tissue was present so only lipo was needed. however if i bend over and squeeze my pecs with my hand, i can feel some very hard patches, almost like rock? i know this isn't breast tissue as i would do this before and could almost touch together. now, in patches, its very hard!  will by results get flatter when this hardness goes away?

It is still very soon into your #healing. Following #Gynecomastia #surgery, your incisions will go through a maturation #process. For the first few months they will be red and possibly raised and/or firm. As the scar matures, after 6-12 months, it becomes soft, pale, flat, and much less noticeable. You may experience numbness, tingling, burning, “crawling”, or other peculiar sensations around the surgical area. This is a result of the #healing of tiny fibers which are trapped in the incision site. These symptoms will disappear. Some people are prone to keloids, which is an abnormal scar that becomes prominent. If you or a blood relative has a tendency to keloid formation, please inform the doctor.
Bruising and #swelling are normal and usually increase slightly after the removal of any tape or foam. The bruising will decrease over 3-4 weeks, but may last as long as 6 weeks. The majority of the swelling will be gone within the first 3-4 weeks. However, it may take 6-9 weeks to disappear completely. Also, as you heal, the area may feel “lumpy” and irregular. This, too, decreases with time, and massaging these areas will help soften the scar tissue. The #compression garment helps reduce the swelling, and the longer it is worn, the more quickly you will #heal. It can also assist in the retraction of the skin. If you have any concerns about #healing, its best to ask questions of your surgeon or their nursing staff.

Thank you for your question.Healing after  liposuction will take time like after any surgery. If you had only fat on your chest then it is called pseudogynaecomastia, if excess glandular tissue also was present then we refer to the problem as andromastia or gynaecomastia.The studies shown that swelling can take up to 42 days to resolve. See your surgeon if additional procedures like lymphatic drainage or machine derived procedures to resolve swelling can be recommended. Patients can help themselves as well by wearing compression vest correctly for 6 weeks and starting some form of stretching and mild exercises from week 3.Harder areas most likely represent a residual swelling and to some degree scar formation. Your surgeon will be able to assess and determine what to do to expedite your recovery.
