I an hoping vaser lipo will give me a better defined jawline and less rounded lower face. I can not afford to take two full weeks off work, but have been told that it is essential to wear the compression bandage around the clock for at least 10 days. Is it likely I will have good results? Can I take off the bandage for short periods during the first week? Is there a way to hide the bandage? Is there a different operation I could use as an excuse? I know people will ask, and I don't want to say lipo.
Answer: Will You Have Good Results From Vaser Liposuction And Excusing the Bandages at Work There are three types of #Vaser Lipo. Each benefit patients differently depending on their needs. Vaser Lipo is capable of removing fat from resilient areas providing a smoother and slimmer results. It is common for reducing love handles, extra skin along the bra line or flanks on many female patients. Additionally, it is often applied to the reduction of male breast surgeries, called gynecomastia surgery. Meanwhile, Vaser Hi-Def targets both deep and superficial fat cells which is found around muscle tissue. This is suggested to tone and defined rather than reduce fat when not necessary. Finally, Vaser #4D, although similar to Vaser Hi-Def works well with the existing muscle tissue.. However, it results in more natural appearing definition to those areas, being treated. Vaser 4D is often applied to treating abdominal region to improve definition. Additionally, it's not uncommon for Vaser Liposuction to combined with fat transfer which removes and transfers fat to another area of the body. A quicker #recovery for a patient may be two to three weeks without any strenuous activity. This includes the short period of suggested rest of 12-24 hours soon following the procedure. #Exercise and activity are contingent on how the patient feels. Mild activity is not likely to hinder recovery or healing or create problems with recovery. However, it is recommended to acquire your doctor's permission to do so. Once you begin exercising again, start gently and let your body tell you what it can tolerate. Don’t rush! After one to three days, you should be able to return to work. As I advise my patients, if your work keeps you sedentary, you may return whenever you feel up to it. If your work is strenuous, wait until your work activity does not cause any superficial pain. Some employers will modify a person’s job duties so they can back sooner, but without physical activity. Our office can provide our patients with a note stating they are not to engage in strenuous activity for a specified period of time. The note will not disclose what procedure they have underwent. Therefore, you may have to request a similar note from your surgeon if you are not independently employed. It's best to begin consulting with a board certified plastic surgery to learn if you are a candidate for liposuction. If so, you will then learn more about which #technique will work best for you and your goals. It is important you select a plastic surgeon who is #board-certified and has a great deal of experience with #vaser #liposuction.

Answer: Compression garments at work and VASER It's plastic surgeon has their own protocol for wearing compression garments.I don't find him nearly as important as other surgeons especially after liposuction of the chin and neck.I would also personally not choose VASER even though I have access to one for chin and neck liposuction.Nothing wrong with that equipment but it's important that whomever is doing his procedure has a lot of experience with the technology for a delicate area like the face.I selectively use VASER for separatists areas like male chests. My standard protocol for compression after chin and neck liposuction is to wear the compression garment for 1 to 2 days continuously and after that 12 hours a day either during the day or night.I'm sure many plastic surgeons will differ with my opinion based on how many different compression garment protocols I have seen.VASER does have a slightly higher rate of seroma formation though this complication is still fairly uncommon after liposuction. My experience has been the chin and neck chance to heal faster than other parts of the body and patiently typically don't have that much bruising or swelling after the procedure.results depend on how well the procedure is performed and how good of a candidate each person is.The best candidates for chin and neck liposuction have tight skin, good jaw projection and no underlying muscle laxity.I suggest you talk to your plastic surgeon to see what he or she thinks about how much and often you should wear your compression garment. Its nobody's business what surgical procedures you have done. Therefore simply stating I had a medical procedure should be a sufficient explanation for most reasonable people.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
