It can vary on how busy the practice is but most patients have a specific date your plastic surgeon can work with you. I ask my patients to complete a very specific preop protocol and this can anywhere from one week to three weeks depending on the patient.
The time period is not specific but depends really on seeing you , assessing your risk factors , and getting you fully informed . Plus you may want to have a little time to think it over and weigh up the pros and cons . In addition you will need to arrange time off work and also help with domestic duties if necessary .So it all depends on multiple factors , mostly to do with you !All the best TS
You have to know that safety is priority, your life and health matter, so if your lab work comes normal, EKG as well and your doctor determine you are a perfect candidate for PS, then you may have your procedure done a soon everything is settle.Be encouraged.Dr. Cardenas
This depends on how busy your surgeon is. Sometimes, you can schedule your consultation and surgery within a week or two of each other. However, it can also be a few months depending on your surgeon's schedule. Please ask the surgeon you'd like to have perform your procedure for their estimation.
Thanks for your question. Once you have had your consultation, wait times for surgery can be a little as four to six weeks. The time varies depending on my operating schedule. If you are wanting to proceed quickly with surgery, its best to call the office and discuss potential surgical dates and the steps that can be taken in advance to book your procedure as swiftly as possible.
Thank you for your question. There is no time established for your consultation before your procedure but it will be ideal for you to get a physical exam and analytics at least a week before your surgery.
There are no fixed rules but in principle, you should be medically fit for the operation, there should be no circumstances that can adversely affect your healing and recovery after the operation, and the Plastic Surgeon should have available time.
You may schedule surgery the day of your consultation. The pre-operative blood up and paper work will need to be done prior to surgery. Usually, this is easily done within a few days to a week. Then, your surgery time will need to be coordinated with a surgery center and the doctor's schedule. Many of us do have blocked or reserved time each week for surgery, so it is easy to schedule your procedure during that time. When you go for your consultation, just ask.
Dear mcorb,Thank you for your question. This is dependent on several factors. The preoperative work up that is required is the most important. Other variables include availability of the OR/Surgery Center, MD schedule, medications you way be on that can hinder your surgery. You're most likely looking at one week at the very least and several weeks at the most. I would recommend that you ask the receptionist when scheduling your consultations to make sure you eliminate the MD schedule and surgery center schedule as factors that can delay your surgery.Best of luck.
The time frame can be different depending upon the preoperative work up. Could range from 1 week to several weeks. Some patients are extremely healthy may only require routine blood work that can be quickly attained. Other patients may need more extensive preop labs and a medical clearance from their primary care physician. Sometimes getting an appointment to see their internist can take several weeks.
It is very common after a tummy tuck to be "hunched" over at the waist. Because of the tightness of the muscle repair and the tightness of the skin closure, our patients are usually not standing up completely straight one week after a tummy tuck. Your body is protecting itself by not...

This is either a tension pull line from the central suture which will improve with time.Or it is excess central skin, which will not subside.Nothing should be done now. Wait six months before discussing additonal surgery with your surgeon. The surgery would most probably be a central exicsion of...
