I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I've had several facelifts, but due to the elasticity of my skin, the results are poor. I am wondering if the derma rollers sold online will help me produce more collagen or will it just produce more of the defective collagen? My dermatologist wants to perform a professional one in his office, but it's very expensive, and I'm concerned it may be a big waste of money either way. Thank you for a reply or another solution that may help me.

It can definitely help. With a 2 mm roller, you will need local numbing cream and after that some antibiotic cover (out of safety).Best for rolling, tethered and atrophic scars. Video below to show you how to roll properly, and also the evolution of skin needling. Insulated Energy Micro needling...
In the US, legally we have to advise you to goto 0.25mm at home. In the office, we can go to 1.75-2.0 mm without problem. Like Dr Schwartz I do not like rolling on the neck- too much ripping and tearing of the skin, thus leaving marks. Best use a stamping device. See the attached video for how ...

rollers such as the Dermaroller create a more erratic pattern of
"tears" through the skin rather than the clean, more evenly
distributed punctures...
