Derma Stamp for hair loss?

Question

I am a 23 year old male and I have been suffering from hair loss since I was a teenager. It's been progressing very slowly. I still have my hair but I have lost volume and my frontal hairline recedes in the typical M shape. I don't currently have the money for any expensive procedures or anything like that, but I have read people have had success with microneedling. How would I perform this treatment at home? Needle size? Any topical products to apply? Should I not do it at all? Thanks!

Using   micro-needling for your hair loss has been shown to be effective. You should purchase a .3 mm needle Derma roller. Find one that can be boiled so that you can keep it clean. Combining Derma roller with Minoxidil is an excellent treatment. Use the roller first and then apply the minoxidil.PRP hair MD.com

Microneedling your scalp at home is not safe.  Puncturing the skin in a noncontrolled way may cause trauma and infection.  In my opinion, other procedures have been shown to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss such as epidermal infusion of medications.  
The first step for you is making sure you have the correct diagnosis for your hair loss. Visit a hair loss expert to begin the process.

Thanks for your question. I do feel that microneedling is beneficial for those who are experiencing male or female pattern hair loss with or without the addition of topicals at the time of treatment. There is only a few studies really looking at microneedling for hair loss and in those studies they utilized a needle length of 1.5 mm. I have not seen any studies that really looked at a comparison of different lengths but I do think there is probably still benefit with smaller needle lengths as 1.5 mm can be quite difficult to tolerate. Other options to help on a budget is topical minoxidil and viviscal, which is an oral supplement I have seen good results with. Both of these can be used in conjunction with the microneedling for better results. Good luck.

Microneedling makes no sense. These are purchased and have needles on them which you role over your scalp and produce wounds which run the risk of infection. If ylu use the drug monixidil, it is not expensive and it work
