Is it possible to have miniaturized hair during CTE?

My te started two years ago and after the last seasonal shedding that lasted 3 months, my regrowth is now full of thick hair mixed with miniaturized hair. Is this normal?

TE is not very stabil. It would be better if you consult with your doctor, get the right diagnosis and evaluation.

In  my opinion, when hair shafts have different diameters with more than 20% variability, it is suggestive of androgenic alopecia. Your telogen effluvium may have Unmasked androgenic alopecia. Find a hair loss expert who will do a good history, examination with magnification and possibly biopsy and blood. Develop a diagnosis and treatment plan. PRP hair MD.com

CTE (chronic telogen efdluvium) does not cause miniaturized hairs. But many individuals have CTE and androgenetic alopecia (AGA) together. It’s the androgenetic component that gives the miniaturized hairs. See a physician to evaluate the cause of your miniaturized hairs.
