Now I look and it looks as though I have a scab over what may have been a stitch. It’s the weekend so I can’t see my dr til Monday. Is this really bad? Will he gave to restitch or likely heal on its own?

The scab will eventually fall off. A little blood is normal at this point and it might bleed a little when the scab falls off.lSince it is so early
in the postoperative period, this amount of swelling and pain is
normal. To reduce pain, itching, and swelling, apply ice packs by
putting crushed ice in a resealable plastic bag and covering it with
a damp, soft cloth for 20-30 minutes at a time.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  If you had a sudden increase in discharge after 5 days where there was none previously you probably did suffer a small separation or torn suture from your incision line.  Your pictures do not show any areas of concern for worsening but I would inform your surgeon so that they are aware and can follow you along closely.  Hope this helps.

You have some swelling, but the scars appear intact. It's possible that the pain was related to some trapped blood escaping between the stitches, but no way to tell for sure.

its futile to try to resuture them at that time.  But rest assured that you will heal with good wound care and time.  If this leaves a defect in your contours, you can consider a revision when you are completely healed so try not to worry and simply focus on following your surgeon's instructions and healing.  Overall, your look is very good for this time after your procedure.

You may had had some irritation along the suture line that bled a little. Don't pull or tug on the area.
It looks like a running 'baseball' type stitch, so unlikely that one stitch ripped, also you are too far out to restitch. Be gentle with he area and get evaluated as soon as you can. Thanks for your question, Carmela Pettigrew, MD
