Why might I have to come off Accutane because of back pain?

So at my 2 month check up on accutane I was telling my doctor about the sharp lower back pains I’ve been having. She said if it persists she might have to take me off of it. I guess my question is, why? My pain subsides with ibuprofen so I guess I’m just not understanding the severity of some back pain. Any help?

I do not recommend taking any supplements during your Accutane treatment. I hope this helps!

Some patients can have very extreme side effects to oral isotretinoine (Accutane).  Although you may be on an appropriate dose, your doctor can reduce your dose and extend the treatment for a longer time.  This will still give you the same benefits, and reduce the side effects.
