Back pain from Accutane from working out. Is this a possible side effect?

I have been on Accutane for 2 months. Since then I have noticed while doing exercises like deadlifts and squats I get lower back pain . I know my form is correct and My lower hurts only for around 10 seconds after the exercise. Is this a possible side effect?

It is possible to experience back joint pains while on Isotretinoin.  You should stop the exercises that cause pain until you can be examined by your primary care physician.  Additional lab tests may also be indicated. Please be sure to be seen by a Board Certified Dermatologist.

Hi Ethan,
Bone/joint pain can be a side effect of isotretinoin (Accutane). This often resolves once you stop taking the medication after completing the course of therapy. At your next follow-up appointment, I would mention that you are experiencing this side effect to your provider.
