Hi I'm 48 yr old. For skin tightening and lifting, is it ok to alternate thermage and ultherapy at 6 months interval each? Or example Thermage June Ultherapy Dec and Refirme in between for maintenance or is it overdoing already? Thanks.
Answer: Thermage and Ulthera Dear patient, I have been performing Thermage since the first machine was released over 10 years ago. the third generation machine (Thermage CPT) is reliable and aggressive. the Total Tip 1200 pulse tip allows the treatment of full face and neck and eye area in one session. I also have the newest Ulthera (deep sea) and treat my patients aggressively with this device. They are both wonderful devices to tighten the skin. Ulthera allows you to see the deeper tissue levels and I believe is a little more aggressive. Having said that both devices are very operator dependent. Find someone with a lot of experience who can be aggressive but safe. I also have patients who notice more tightening when they go back and forth between Radiofrequency and Ultrasound (Thermage and Ulthera). I hope this was helpful.

Answer: Combining Ultherapy and Thermage Very good question. Thermage uses radiofrequency energy to constrict underlying tissue and stimulate collagen production. Ultherapy performs a similar function using ultrasound energy. While the devices offer a similar function, they do so at different depths that make them very compatible when performed together. Alternating the two as you suggest can offer very nice results in the right patient. I encourage you to schedule a consultation with a board-certified doctor who has extensive experience using both treatments and can design a customized treatment plan for you. By tailoring your treatment to your precise needs and goals, I am confident you should see excellent results with this approach.

Answer: Thermage and Ultherapy Thank you for your question Thermage and Ultherapy are both excellent techniques to achieve noninvasive skin tightening. They work to improve your appearance in different ways and, in many cases, they are complimentary so that alternating between Thermage and Ultherapy can make sense. I would recommend seeing an expert in each technique as well as injectables and other technology-based modalities to determine your best options. Best of luck.
