Is Thermage a viable treatment option for skin tightening on a patient with EDS type 3?

Yes, you can have thermage. It takes several months to achieve final results with Thermage. Keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. Eyelids need surgery, but if you are not willing to have surgery I suggest a combination approach of lasers, threads, and thermage. See an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

A treatment like ThermiRASE, for example, which uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate your skin’s collagen and elastin production, could help treat your EDS symptoms. While the relationship between radiofrequency energy treatments and EDS has not been well studied, RF treatments do treat the symptoms which concern you. Hey there,EDS is a connective tissue disorder in which the skin becomes very thin, more stretchy because of weak collagen and elastin. All aesthetic treatments basically aim at inducing collagen and the response to such treatments may be variable in EDS. Botox can be tried for your droopy eyelid and eyebrow. But you should be prepared for early recurrence, and repeated procedures.

Radiofrequency as a energy source can help to tighten skin.  Results typically take 4 months to see.  There are no studies on RF and Ehler's Danlos, but it could be safely done.
