It's primarily up to the office if they charge you for touch-ups, though some will offer it for free. Each practice has their own policy regarding injectables and touch-ups. You may require a few more units to correct the residual wrinkles. This is unlikely to be due to negligence, but rather your response to the medication, which varies between patients. Some doctors may offer touch-ups without charge, but some may not and that discussion should be had prior to your first injection.

Thank you for your question.  Every service provider will have their own policies for touch ups/revisions after any treatment.  Often these are explained to the patient prior to the treatment or in the terms of payment section included in a comprehensive consent form.  The best solution is to book a follow up with your doctor to discuss next steps.  Best wishes.

When it comes to cost and pricing, there is no standard answer. It depends on the office and your discussion with the doctor. There can be variability in response of the tissue to any injection. For a desired response, the doctor gives an estimate of units needed. Additional units are sometimes needed. If the doctor charged you per unit, some practices might charge you for the additional product and others may not. Because this is not the result of improper action but more because a little more is needed, I can see that you might be charged for additional product but others may disagree and it should be on a case by case basis.

If it has been 14 days and your results are uneven, I would follow up with your injector.  If it has been less than 14 days, you may find the results even out.  If you still need to be touched up the cost is at the discretion of each injector; there is no right or wrong way to charge for services.  In our practice, if there is still symmetrical muscle movement (the patient simply needs more product) the patient takes on the cost. If the patient is asymmetric, ie- uneven brows, the touch up is on us.  But again, this is injector dependent.  Each patient's muscles react to Botox differently, and you may have stronger muscle pull on one side than the other.  I hope this helps. 

Thanks for your question. There isn't a right answer for this question. In my clinic, my first time patients are brought back in 2 weeks for an evaluation and any tweaks/enhancements are made at that time - which I cover. This is a case by case basis and determined on the initial consultation (ie, if I recommended a higher dose at the initial consultation but the patient wanted to start with less then there would be charge). It doesn't seem like you would need much - maybe 2-4 units to get the improvement you are wanting.

Hi there. While everyone practices differently, I think we all want you to be please with your results so that you come back and bring your friends! My personal policy is that if there is unevenness, I will do a "touchup" for free, up to a certain amount of units. Now, if the patient just needs more medicine to get the desired affect and we discussed this at treatment but they insisted on less, it's fair that they pay for it. I usually joke with my patients and tell them, "now, if in 2 weeks, if it's not as you and I anticipate, PLEASE let me know. You'll come back, I'll blame your face anatomy not doing what it should've done, and then we can easily adjust!" Based on your photo, a couple quick touchup units is all that's needed and then you should be good to go!

The best answer I can give you is that you should have a conversation with your Plastic Surgeon regarding his or her policy for Botox revision. Whether or not your practitioner's office will compensate for additional "touch-up" amounts is between you and them, ultimately. Alternatively, there may be a simple explanation for your asymmetry/response rate based on the time from when your Botox was administered to when your photo was taken.  
In any event, make sure to record the amount and location of Botox administered so you can use this as a reference for further treatments.

This is a good question.  When injecting patients for the first time the practitioner estimates the dose needed.  Every practice has it's own policy regarding "touch ups" or further enhancement.  In my practice first time patients come back at 2 weeks.  If further enhancement is needed than it is done complimentary.  Long term patients who will occasionally need additional botox are also dosed complimentary.   If a higher dose of botox is initially recommended and the patient prefers to start with a lower dose than further enhancement is charged to the patient. The patient is made aware of this at the time of the visit.  You should talk to your provider to find out what is the policy of that practice.
