Why is my skin not dry on Accutane?

Question

I am in my second month on Accutane, and I have not had any dry skin yet at all. I am a 190-pound, 24-year-old male on 40mg/day. I am not complaining, just wondering if something is wrong.

Everybody responds differently to the side effects of Accutane.  Some may not be bothered by any side effects, and some have a really hard time with them.  Not everyone experiences dryness of the skin.

You do not have to experience excessively dry skin for Accutane to be effective. It is the most common "side effect" and compliant of people on the medication, but you don't have to have this for the medication work for you. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
