I took accutane for 5 weeks. My weight is 40kg. I took 20mg a day .but I stopped it for 6 weeks already. Now i see that my skin is still red, thin and sun sensitivity. I want my normal skin coming back . I know that skin will become normal after stopped accutane for 6 months, but i think i just took low does of accutane . Does low does of accutane cause long term side effect? does only 5 weeks of accutane need 6 months for skin to become normal?

My pore on my face is small before taking accutane . After i stopped accutane, my pore become larger . Can you tell me why? And Does my pore become small again after accutane is out of my system?

I think you should be on 0.5 - 1 mg/kg per day for at least 20 weeks.&nbsp; However, efficacy is really based on the cumulative dose, so if you take half the recommended dosage, then you should be on it for at least 40 weeks.&nbsp; Sometimes dosage is kept low because of side effects, so if you don't want potentially drier lips or more thinning hair, you may want to stay on this lower dose for a longer period of time.

I'm 5ft 11, 175lbs. I'm 3 months in. I was also never asked my weight during the initial prescription so I wonder how he determined the dosage. I feel like this doc might be wasting my time. I'd rather not be on this for 8 months (if you follow the 1 mg per kg) if I can be done in 5. I'd also rather take a proper dosage and get the desired results. I've made an appointment to discuss upping my dosage, but as I've lost a little faith, I was looking for second opinions.

Hello, so far I am on day 4 of 20mg/day. I got a bad headache on day 3 and still have a slight headache on day 4. Is it ok to take panadol while on isotretinoin? What alternatives are there to stop tye headache?

This probably will not make much of a difference, as you should be on Accutane for at least 20 weeks.&nbsp; Just try not to miss too many more doses after that.

Just realized that ive finished the second month of accutane aka Roaccutane,and we have the Eid Al-Adha holiday now here in Amman-Jordan so all the pharmacies are closed for 3 days at least...so?

I'm 26 and never had acne this bad till almost a year ago I tried everything finally I started this in generic brand. I'm starting my third month first month was 20 MG second was 40 MG now I'm on 800 in my 3rd month. I'm still getting flare ups and breakouts like crazy the doc said it pushes the acne out so to speak and will take time for results iv had clearer days but right now it's still mild and some get really big like ah not on occasion. Lips are chapped alot.

I did a 6 month course of accutane and have been off it since April. The reason I went on accutane was excessive oil and some cystic acne. My skin is still very oily and my pores are very large. I also have scarring on my face that was not there prior to being on accutane. The last month that I was on the medication, my skin was clear, oil free, and my pores/scarring were not as visible.
