A reputable PS (who offers both Bellafill/HA filler), told me that since Bellafill is placed deeper down by the bone, it creates more of a rounded fullness look. It's good for overall volume and for someone seeking a wider jaw, but it can't produce a sharp jawline. HA filler on its own can achieve this though. He said that HA filler is actually what's needed to produce definition since it can be injected superficially & create the necessary protrusion. Would other injectors agree with this?
Answer: Fillers for jawline There are a variety of fillers that can be used to augment the jawline and create more definition. Each physician may have a difference preference of which filler to use for a particular patient. In my opinion, Radiesse can create the most definition because it is a relatively firm filler.

Answer: Bellafill vs HA Fillers Filler migration and granuloma formation can cause longterm problems with Bellafill and Artefill fillers. This is similar in patients who have Artecoll and PMMA fillers. Longterm filler complications include migration, edema, chronic swelling, and nodularity. If patients have filler migration or nodules, we recommend a combination approach of filler reversal with enzymes, corticosteroids, and scar tissue modulators. Our HIDEF approach can break down filler scarring and granulomas so that they are less apparent. If the filler material itself does not dissolve, it either means the filler is likely not HA material or is unresponsive to conservative therapy. This technique may be followed by surgical removal of the filler if there is a suitable target for removal and the chance of scarring is low. Surgical removal of Bellafill is possible and we have a wide ranging experience with the treatment. Some areas of the face can be treated because the Bellafill removal scars are barely visible. We have found that Bellafill nodules, if palpated, can be removed from the tissue. Undereye Bellafill, nasolabial fold Bellafill, and lip filler can be treated successfully. Diffuse Bellafill is difficult to treat. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Bellafill vs HA fillers for the jawline? Hi, I prefer to use Bellafill to define a jawline because the results are longer lasting. Bellafill is really a biostimulant as most of the material is gone leaving only the microscopic beads that act as a scaffold for your body to produce it's own collagen. The jaw bone acts as a nice buttress of support for the material. You want to use a thicker filler on the jawline so that it will stay where it is put. Juvederm Volux is another option. A syringe of Bellafill has only 0.8 cc. A teaspoon is 5 cc. Typically you will possibly need as much as a teaspoon per side to make a visible difference in the jawline and that can be cost prohibitive to some. On the other hand, you also need to look at the longevity of the results in your economic equation. Best to have a consultation to determine what is the best way to achieve the defined jawline that you desire as their may be less expensive options. Hope that helps! Dr. DuPont

Answer: Bellafill vs. HA fillers for the jawline? - I want a more defined jawline. Is it true HA fillers are superior to achieve this? Bellafill is a collagen stimulator and does not provide the same jaw definition as a thick HA. However, Radiesse may be the best for this.
