My nose stays swollen and red from the injection. I need serious help. Will steroids help and if so for how long? Is there any possible way to get the stuff out of my nose?
Answer: How to remove bellafill from the nose? swelling, redness, pain after injection to nose you can surgically open the nose and try and remove it but likely will be difficult. you can do steroid + 5FU injections and usualy improve the spot without surgery, only see an expert for this. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Complications from Bellafill injections and Biopolymers Bellafill is a semi-permanent filler with a host of complications that can be long-lasting. Our office specializes in filler complications, especially those related to Bellafill and Artefill, including granulomas, lumps, and soft tissue swelling. Surgery may be one option; whereas non-surgical soft-tissue lifting and intralesional injections may help reduce the visibility of these fillers. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Fillers in nose Thanks for your question and helpful photos. Sorry you are going through this! Unfortunately Bellafil is one of the tricky fillers, and I don't use it for precisely the problem you are having. It is considered a very long lasting, if not permanent, filler and there is nothing to dissolve it. The more commonly used hyaluronic acid fillers are a lot more forgiving and can be dissolved with an enzyme if a mistake is made. Your dermatologist could try injecting some dilute Kenalog, or triamcinolone, into the area, which may reduce the appearance if there is inflammation in the area, but more likely you will need the filler to be surgically removed. You might want to consult with an experienced dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon for an in-person evaluation and they will give you some options to try. Best of luck!
