Qyitstorm,While SMP can be very effective technique for decreasing the contrast between the lighter scalp and the darker hair color, it will not create the fullness that real hair transplantation can produce. If it is only a small area it might do the job. However keep in mind that if you have Andre-Genetic hair loss the are may continue to enlarge, so I would recommend a consultation with a qualified hair loss specialist who can closely examine you and make all the appropriate short and long term treatment options.Sincerely,Bernardino Arocha, MD
Scalp Micropigmentation is not real hair. So if you are trying to fill in a bald patch then SMP may not be your best option.
It may be possible that you are a candidate, but an in person evaluation is needed- usually if needed for creating look of added density, there needs to be enough hair in the area that can cover the “dots” placed so it is not clear to the eye and more natural looking. If it is larger areas of complete loss, then having a shaved head look miles more sense. And if there is continued loss possible (such as with alopecia areata and patchy loss potential), then it would not be advisable to try and camouflage with SMP unless completely stable and enough hair to be used as an added density look. Good luck!
Scalp micropigmentation might work well for a dime size area but you need to find a local doctor who can do it right
Rjhein007,SMP can be used to create a shaved look for men who desire the buzzed cut look. It can also be used to enhance density in thin areas, regardless of hair length. Also could be used to hide some scars.Sincerely,Bernardino Arocha, MD

Dorukakg,We do not know what type of temporary pigment was used or how many touch ups were performed. We use only organic pigments from Beauty Medical. We also perform smp procedures in two days sessions, and then performed an evaluation at one month to assess if a touch up is needed. We ...
