No. If you eat anything with sugars, acids or pigments, they will get trapped between your aligners and your teeth. This will feed the bacteria in your mouth that cause tooth decay and also cause your teeth to turn dark in the color of the foods that you are eating. For example, would you want orange teeth if you were eating carrots? Do you want brown teeth if you drink coffee? Even diet soft drinks contain phosphoric acid which will weaken the enamel. Sugary fruits will feed the bacteria which will then make lactic acid as their waste product and your teeth will decay. Milk has lactose sugar which will be used by bacteria as their food source then they will excrete their waste product which is lactic acid. People make urine from what is eaten in the diet, Bacteria make Lactic Acid from what they eat which then destroys teeth. This is the "Most Simple" explanation in the most basic way I can tell it. Since we can't eliminate sugars completely from our diet, or the bacteria completely from our mouths; it is is essential that everyone reduce the bacteria through daily oral hygiene and reduce sugars by avoiding them as much as the body can get by without. Sticky sugary foods should always be avoided or tooth brushing should be done immediately afterward.
