I had a mole shaved off back in June. Now a hard lump has developed where the mole was removed?

Could it be scar tissue that developed or do i need to go see a doctor?

Since there have been changes, I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

I agree you should get the mole checked by a dermatologist.  There are 5 signs that should prompt extra concern about skin cancer or melanoma which are the ABCDE's of changes of a mole. They are A= Asymmetry , B= Bordter Irregularity , C= color change, D= Diameter greater than a pencil eraser, E...

There are a number of ways to remove moles, and the decision of technique would depend on the appearance, growth and behavior, history of skin problems, family history....  No matter the technique, your surgeon should be able to make this a very tolerable, easy procedure with different methods ...
