Should I be concerned about grid mark patterns on my chest after IPL? (photos)

Thank you for your questions. Unfortunately, you should not have grid marks after an IPL treatment. The treatment might have been to strong. Hopefully the marks will crest and flake off. I would call your provider and let them know.MedSpa Barrington IL

Thank you for your question and posting pictures.  I sorry this happened to you.  At this point, it's too early to tell from pictures if you were burned.  If it turns brown and crusty, but not scabs, then you just received a very aggressive treatment.  In that case, my chief complaint is the poor technique!  IPL PhotoFacial, when done properly should have consistent overlap so that there isn't any untreated areas.  At a minimum, you are going to have window panes all over your chest.  Based on the poor technique and being unconcerned about your feelings, you might consider a different provider.  Best of luck.
