There's a few things I don't like about my face. My forehead is very large compared to my lower face, my face is narrow overall, and my nose seems to take up valuable real estate at the tip (and I dislike the profile). If you could choose one procedure or maybe 2 to balance my face better, what would that be? I think cheek implants would help, but should I consider anything else. I'd like to have some opinions and a general budget expectation before I do consults. Thanks for your help!

Answer: Big Forehead and Long Face Without question the two most important procedures to change your face is a forehead reduction and rhinoplasty. The forehead reduction must do both frontal bossing bony reduction and a frontal hairline advancement. This may or may not require a first stage posterior scalp expansion based on your natural scalp laxity. A rhinoplasty to reduce the size and projection of your nose would also help your overall facial reshaping effort. Cheek implants may ultimately have a role but that decision is secondary to the two primary procedures of forehead reduction and rhinoplasty.

Answer: Chin implant and cheek implants A full set of facial photographs, especially from the side profile are required to make a determination about which type of implants to use. Cheek implants are placed for patients who have a flat maxilla and a flat cheek profile in order to augment the mid-face. When patients have a narrow, pointy chin and a recessive side chin profile, a chin implant is used to balance out the facial features. Both implants are composed of solid silicone and can be custom carved as necessary to match patient's unique anatomy. For more information and many examples of both procedures, please see the link and the video below
