Is a chemical peel 4 months after having 1 week of 10mg Accutane safe?

I was on 10mg accutane for a week or so before 4 months and my other dermatologist suggested me a chemical peel of tca 35% to remove hyper pigmentation from glycolic peel which was done 2 years ago.. is it a good idea to do so or are there better ways to approach my condition?

Dear Mr. Manoj, 10mg for a week is a very low dose. Still 35% TCA after isotretinoin may cause complications . It is considered safe to try deeper peels 6  months after discontinuing isotreninoin . Mean time you can start of with a mild acid peel which can be taken to lighten the PIH. Meet a board certified expert. My best wishes.

One should always be cautious with any invasive procedure following isotretinoin treatment,, but studies have shown a 6 month rest period after is usually safe for laser and or dermabrasion.  Also there are many strengths of acid peel, and a glycolic peel of 50% or less is safe and a TCA peel of 15% is also safe.
