Asymmetrical result - is it possible to fix this with a revision? (Photo)

Question

I had the surgery done in september 23, so about 6 months ago. I am however not happy with the result, as i feel like there's still too much loose skin and asymmetry. I've had 2 checkups since the surgery, where my surgeon told me that there's asymmetry is because the connective tissue now "lies" differently on the muscles and that more skin could not be taken, as it would give a wider scar. Is it possible to fix this with revision?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

As a board certified plastic surgeon, surgical plans are made for scar revisions or liposuction revisions to areas that have more fullness after surgery.

Hello; your skin quality is not bad. Crack is minimal. You have loose skin. Actually, there is no possibility for removing more skin. I definitely give an advise for "Renuvion J Plasma" technique; that provides for both skin tightening and it will also increase elasticity.

If you are unhappy with your surgeon's explanation you may want to visit another board certified plastic surgeon for a second opinion.  Regardless if you have a revision or not it is normal to have excess skin when bending.

To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures.
If you don’t have proper before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward, the pictures they took.
We do not assess the abdomen with the hips flexed or the sitting position.
Everyone is going to have skin accesswhen they’re in a sitting position.
If you add tight skin when you’re sitting down, you wouldn’t be able to stand up straight . 
It would also be helpful to have a clear understanding of what procedure you had and what the indication was.
It’s your third picture preoperatively?
If so, it doesn’t look like you needed an operation.
I’m guessing you had a mini tummy tuck for skin laxity due to weight loss.
I question if this was a good procedure for you in the first place.
Perhaps the procedure could’ve been done more aggressively, but there should be a pretty good indication to have this type of procedure.
Generally mini tummy tucks, give many results with almost the same length of scar.
It doesn’t look like you have a scar around your bellybutton, so I’m assuming you had a mini.
If you want a proper second opinion consultation, I suggest you schedule those is in person consultations with other providers in your community.
For second opinion, consultations come prepared bringing with you a complete set of proper before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report.
Those should all be available from your current provider if you ask them.
