What procedure is recommended for keloid removal and nipple split after nipple piercing? (Photo)

I once had a nipple bar ring and the bar got caught on my bracelet which lead to my nipple splitting in half and a keloid has developed on the side. This happened four years ago and the keloid has grown in size. What procedure is recommended? Could this be accomplished with out injections? I give birth later this year and want to breast freed, will I be able to? What’s the healing time for this procedure? Should I wait till after I give birth?

It appears on this photo that you are experiencing similar issue like earlobe tear; separation or tear of nipple. Correction is possible, it requires small surgery in local anesthesia. Good luck.

There are numerous techniques to reconstruct the nipple. This is done using local tissue so there will be no need for tattoo. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who performs breast reconstructions after cancer surgery would help. Good luck.

I would have you remove the piercings for surgery. Any foreign object increases the risk of infection. I would also ask you to consider if you’d even want the piercings if your nipples were no longer inverted. If not, it makes it easier to decide to remove them for surgery. At this point, s...
