I once had a nipple bar ring and the bar got caught on my bracelet which lead to my nipple splitting in half and a keloid has developed on the side. This happened four years ago and the keloid has grown in size. What procedure is recommended? Could this be accomplished with out injections? I give birth later this year and want to breast freed, will I be able to? What’s the healing time for this procedure? Should I wait till after I give birth?

Answer: Keloids can be treated by doing injection therapy. They can also be surgically removed if deemed a candidate for the procedure.
Dear Rottie29,
it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, your nipples look normal. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations...
